The Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort sits directly on the Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Part of the seven-story hotel is actually built over tidal pools where Hawaiian green sea turtles glide through the tranquil waters.. Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort,is one of the newest and finest mid-priced properties on the Big Island. This oceanfront Resort features a day spa, ocean view fitness room, ocean front restaurant and bar, swimming pool and six tennis courts. There are 309 rooms, three of which are Royal Suites, four indoor meeting rooms with 6,300 square feet of space, and three large outdoor function areas.. We stayed 7 days at the end of Feb. '09. A very nice location & setting. We had a partial ocean view room on the 4th floor that faced the southeast. It had an unobstruced view of the ocean to the west & overlooked the courtyard/entrance...

My mother, 12 y/o son and I stayed 4 days here over New Year's 2008. We had just checked out of the Sheraton Keahou to extend our stay and was pleasantly surprised. For less than half the price, we had a beautiful (and far superior!) ocean view,...
Decent enough room, nice enough persons at the front desk. However, the restaurant and seaside bar and grill are another story: harried, not-friendly wait staff, complaining about their jobs, offered extraordinarily long long waits for mediocre food....
