If you're looking for a clean, cheap room on the ocean with no frills, this is it. We used the money we saved to stay longer, take surf lessons and explore more of Kauai. If you need more than a bed, fridge and shower, then maybe it's not for you. I do wish the rooms had coffee makers though...
Not only is it old, run down, and unhealthy; their customer service is horrible.
I missed my reservation due to airline delays and the manager Anna had no sympathy with me or the online hotel booking representatives who called to get a refund for a
My husband & I stayed here for 8 fabulous days. The hotel staff was very helpful, our room was clean, and the location is prime. We had a great time and would stay again.

to return to the Kauai Sands Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location was great, across the street from a strip mall with a Jamba Juice and a Starbucks on site and right on the ocean. They had a selection of movies available for rent, but they were expensive. The rooms were very nice.
