My wife and I went to the Marriot Beach Club for our Honeymoon. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was concerned when I read other reviews that state the hotel rooms were outdated and had a musty smell. Our room was very nice and did not have an...

We stayed at the Kauai Marriott Hotel (not time share) although there are some on the property. The location is in a bay, so the ocean is not too rough. The Marriott does an excellent job of making their guests happy. It is a beautiful hotel with...
45 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The Kaua'i Marriott is like any other Marriott - exceptionally clean; excellent service; and beautifully decorated rooms. The Marriott Resort in Kaua'i is a little dated though. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The king mattress on our bed was not of the high Marriott standard we are accustomed too. The kitchenette area in the suite portion was definitely an after thought. Basically a wet bar with a bar fridge, tiny microwave and mini dishwasher below. This was a hotel converted into a the current report so they obviously worked with what was already there. We are accustomed to the beautiful kitchens Marriott resorts are known for.
The pool and beach are were fantastic. Not too busy and a great view of the cruise ships coming and going into the bay.
The restaurants and bars were a little pricey but we expected that in Hawaii.

Upfront caveat: I own a timeshare here, so I'm a little biased, but I'm always quick to complain (politely) when things aren't up to snuff. I can't believe that couple booked a no-open window room for their honeymoon (cheapest available), then...
