Kapaa Shore Resort

The hotel was being remodeled and it was in the midst of construction problem. Some appliances did not work, but it was right on the coast with a wonderful pool.

This resort is not that bad. All the units overlook a beautiful beach, they had a decent pool (square pool, but clean and nice, with clean Jacuzzi), near the pool to the beach is a nice grass area, it's very clean and nice to relax on. The units look more like a cabin in Mammoth, but they are kept up nice and kept clean.

The Lanai is nice size and overlooking the beach with a nice reef break. Good place for bringing the family or a couple get away.

The two bedroom units have a washer and dryer in the unit which worked well with the family, less to pack on the long trip to Kauai.

The East Island location is nice and central to the destinations North and South.

I would have preferred to pick another part of the island to stay, as wait time to get out of the parking lot was horrendous. It was on a busy street, better to sleep on the hide a bed to lower street noise.

This hotel made me feel practical: It was situated directly in the middle of the eastern side of the island. It made for an easy ride north or south for sight seeing.
