The hotel was beautiful but.. to start we had a room by the outdoor water park right by the interstate, all night long we could hear the traffic like we were outside! We paid over $400 for our room, that is not right!!!! There is no sound dampening

Horribly expensive for a single man travelling alone. "No pets" policy, which meant Boomer had to spend a couple nights in my truck. Room was okay, smelled kinda funny.
Room service staff was Bulgarian or Czech or something. In fact, about half the staff seemed to be from one of the former Soviet countries, not all of them spoke very good English. Food at The Ivory Coast was bad, bad, bad.
Wisconsin Dells has a lot of other places to eat, so I went to one of them (Mark's Restaurant just down the road). While I was there I got to talking to one of the other patrons, who let me know that the Kalahari is a wood-framed structure and quite possibly not up to fire code. In addition, the Kalahari is owned by one man, Todd Nelson, and as such does not answer to shareholders. He is strongly, virulently anti-union. Being a lifelong (so far!) Teamster, this was the lasty straw.
I had planned on 3 nights but I cut my stay short and Boomer and I went back to Gurnee.
I will not stay there again, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accomodations and leisure. Pools seemed clean, though.
We liked the great "beat the clock" rate they had as when you add in the waterpark charges and hotel charges, you can't beat it. The kids had a lot of fun. However, the staff has limited English skills, or are students and young and could careless....
My family stayed in June from Wednesday to Sunday. The staff was always helpful, we arrived on a Wednesday and were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite compliments of the hotel. My kids were never bored! We painted pottery, played in the water, played in...

The hotel was beautiful, but the stay was all ruined when we saw little tiger cubs in a small glass enclosure being made to take pictures with the guests for a (very large price). After our first night their we decided to look into what was going on here. The gentleman who is charge of these pictures is one of the midwests biggest animal dealers. I am an animal lover, and that made me sick. I think managment should check the background of who they let do buisiness in their lobby. My only recommendation to my friends is find a hotel that cares about the animals in which they have their. I was very dissapointed in whoever is in charge of bringing those cubs their. Recommendation: Dont go their!
I stayed at the Kalahari for a business conference. I needed some cash, but my bank had just issued a new ATM card and new pin number, and I did not have it with me. When I asked the assistant manager if they could cash a small check, the answer...
In wisconsin it's a freezing winter but the second you walk into the hotel you're in your swimsuit. Going when it's not summer saves you A Lot of money too. I had the Royal King Whirl Pool Suite. The room had a jacuize, flatscreen TV, a two-person...

We enjoy staying at this resort but this year we had a noise problem with the people in the room above us so we had to complain twice in one night to get it to stop. Otherwise it was a great stay.
This hotel has a inside water park which everyone enjoys. It is a gorgeous hotel with a game room, spa, shopping and everything right there.
I am very likely
to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was expensive, but since it was on a special occasion, this trip was a great value. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was in a nice area of the city. Also, the workers there were very friendly and nice to us.
I am very likely
to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We ran into a problem with check in, we did not have the credit card present which the room was reserved on but the woman at the desk was very nice about it and worked it out for us. The location was amazing, only a five minute drive away from our favorit
When you walk in the revolving front door your mouth just drops open. It has an absolutely beautiful lobby complete with tiger cubs and kangaroo joeys you can pay to have your picture taken with. The atmosphere is exciting and the decorations are awesome
I am very likely
to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.
