There are so many things wrong with this resort.

- Check in process was ridiculous. Took over 1 hour and had to search hotel for a cart to transport items.

- Staff was poorly trained in customer service. Most often heard excuse was someone called off or someone else didn't do their job.

- We returned to our room at 4:15 on the first day only to find that it had not been cleaned. Housekeeping arrived at 4:20 and asked if we needed anything. We gave them our trash and received clean towels. Housekeeper informed us that stayovers got low priority due to staff shortages and they needed to do new room-ins first.

- The water park was filthy. Everyone in my family got diarrhea. I would presume due to the high levels of bacteria in the water.

- The walls to the room were paper thin. We could hear everything from the adjoining rooms. Including the baby crying next door at 3AM!

- The hotel was cold. For being an indoor water park where most guests are walking about in wet bathing suits, it would seem that a warmer temperature would be more ideal.

- Logistics in general were not thought through. This place brings out the worst in people and it was every man for him self on many occasions in the water park. Good luck getting a tube for your kids or finding a seat. Have fun standing in line for everything and I mean everything.

- We cut our stay short by a day and were happy to leave. This includes my 2 kids age 6 and 8. Even they had had enough.

- The check out process was the same mess as check in. Good luck getting a cart. My wife followed someone to their car and waited in the cold rain to get one.

Don't waste your entertainment dollar on this place. It is a newer facility and could be very nice if it was properly managed

Been here twice. Now that they have expanded, it is even more awesome. I highly recommend it and will go back year after year. Our kids ages 5, 6 and 8 love this place more than Myrtle Beach and Disney World. Great job Kalahari, Great place. Keep up the great work :-) In our family's eyes this is definitely a 10/10 no doubt

We just got back and the new expansion is awesome. Much larger area for our younger children(18 months and 4yrs.). The indoor wave pool was huge. The staff was very friendly(except for lifeguards they looked a bit bored.) The staff was constantly cleaning the giant indoor playarea. The rooms were very nice and clean. I recommend going during the school year in the middle of the week. We got great rates(2 nights for 199.00) and the indoor swim park was not very crowded as it is on the weekends. The food is a bit pricey but we brought lots of snacks from home and it was a family vacation so we splurged. I would recommend this trip to everyone with children even my husband the biggest kid of all had fun on all the slides!!!

The rooms are very nice. The new expansion on the water park is AWESOME!! it really does feel like you on vacation! The only thing is are the prices are outrageous. So things could be a little less. But overall its a great experience.

It was a little loud at night. Teens were roaming the halls. It should not have happened with everything closing down by ten o'clock in the evening. The food buffet was outstanding. Everyone found something and it was stuffed. Not all of the pools were open. Check in was very crowded with a very long wait and the rooms were still not ready. I had to return to the front desk multiple times. The rooms were lovely and they had lot of space for a family of five or six. They offered fairly good packages for the money.

I am very likely to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It is definitely geared around children. I would suggest going during the week during the school year. It is busy, but not nearly as busy as it is on the weekends or in the summer.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

For $149 a night, we got the same as the Great Wolf Lodge charges twice that price for! A bit pricier than a standard hotel but well worth the $$. The room was very spacious and all have a microwave and mini-fridge. We were a bit far from the water park but it only took 5 minutes to walk there. The arcade was great for the kids. We're not from Sandusky but wish we had one of these places around St Louis for a weekend trip! You can plan a vacation in the hotel itself!

Great value for the $$$. Beds were very comfy and were queen as opposed to doubles!

I loved my stay at Kalahari. The atmosphere at the resort was really cool, it almost made me feel like I was in Africa. The restaurants, waterpark, and shops were great. After the stay, my kids loved Kalahari so much they didn't want to leave, they had so much fun. Everyone we met that worked there was really nice, and we had such a great. We plan to go back soon and we recommending Kalahari to all our friends.

This was an awesome hotel with plenty of things to do that are family oriented. The indoor water park was amazing and the hotel also had an outdoor water park and activity area. The hotel itself was clean and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: We were given a personal tour of the hotel by one of the hotel managers which was really nice.

I am very likely to return to the Kalahari Resort.

The hotel had excellent accommodations for the special price received. The rooms were very nice and spacious, but too far from the water park, since I had several small children with me. The snacks and the drinks at the outdoor area park were fine, but the mixed drinks were too artificial.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was very welcoming and kind.

I am very likely to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I really liked the indoor dry play area. The outdoor water park was awesome. I wish they would have had that open more often. They closed it due to weather, but it was not really cold. I was a bit disappointed about that. Otherwise, the experience was great.

This hotel made me feel excited: The water park was so big I was excited for my children to play there.

I am very likely to return to the Kalahari Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
