Cannot and I repeat.....cannot beat the location. Not a high class place but well worth the overall experiance. Only 1/4 mile from the south rim. Dining was not that great....BUT I did not go there for the dining ! I went there for the views....

with out spending the extra $$ at the Tovar.
We walked over to the rim for sunrise both mornings we were there! Clean and convient and although we were there in March, and not a lot of children around, it was very quiet.
We are a bit older than many and found the walk to the rooms, then back to the lodge several times a day tiring and inconvenient. This would not bother younger couples. The staff was friendly but not effusive and the rooms were very clean. We had ...
