As a travel consultant with cre8adventures.com, I've seen quite a few resort hotels in Maui. The Kaanapali Beach Hotel surprised me, in a good way. The resort provides something none of the other resorts on this awesome stretch of beach can - authen

Loved oceanfront room. Would have been our new found favorite lodging until we were hit by the smell of sewage in our shower. Were told the problem was caused by the city, but have NEVER had that issue with any other Maui hotel. Disappointed.

They treated their guests like family and it was wonderful. I loved the flowers and the treats in the rooms each night and I truly enjoyed the show every evening.
I always felt like I had everything I needed.
I am very likely
to return to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location was excellent. I did not need to rent a car. The local bus service took us anywhere that we wanted to go. The fare was one dollar. The hotel staff was super helpful in all areas.
The hotel made me feel excited because of the fact that it was a Hawaiian hotel.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel had a very friendly staff. It was a great value for returning guests and the staff remembered me from my previous visit a year before. There were lots of activities for kids and the atmosphere tried to be of a more traditional Hawaiian hospitality.
I am very likely
to return to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I reserved an ocean front room, but they had overbooked so for the first night we were in a garden view room. Its a great location, with very reasonable rates and a beautiful garden area to sit and relax in.
They had a hula show nightly in the Tiki garden.
I am very likely
to return to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel is walking distance to snorkeling, shopping, beach activities and many restaurants. They offer Hawaiian activities (free hula show, lei making, garden tour, etc) so that you don't need to get into your car too often. It's the only place I have found in Maui where you can sit under a shade tree and read or lay in the sun at the beach. Some of the rooms are dated but I try to spend all my time outdoors where the action is.

We were put into one of the rooms that they had not yet renovated. It smelled of urine. We complained to the front desk and it took them two nights to move us to a new room - we were not compensated in any way. As soon as we were moved out of the room they put new guests in there. Cleanliness and guest comfort are not a high priority in this hotel.
