Horrible
Nothing.Lousy rooms, service; pretentious, snotty staff & owner. Don't believe the website for this motel... it is NOT a cool, hip boutique "hotel": rather, it's a sleazy motel w/ poor service, exacerbated by its pretentiousness... Very pretentious....

As a Portland native myself- my boyfriend & I stayed here for a night. Despite claiming to be hip and cool, the real buzz/word on the street is that this motel has poor service and is pretentious and snotty. I've stayed at numerous motels/hotels across the country, and this is one of the worst, exacerbated by its pretentious claims otherwise.
Its overpriced and not really a good deal at all considering the negatives. There are far better places to stay here in Portland, look elsewhere! I like to party, but I also reasonably expect to be able to get a little sleep and comfort at a motel/hotel, which is impossible here. It was loud and obnoxious. So is the next-door bar The Doug Fir, full of pretentious, obnoxious pseudo-hipster wannabe types who take themselves too seriously. I absolutely do not recommend this lousy motel for any purpose, for pleasure or for business!

The staff and patrons were unhelpful, pretentious, and arrogant. The rooms were dirty and unhealthy. It was loud, and I was unable to sleep at all. I absolutely would not recommend this terrible, sleazy motel to anyone for pleasure or business!

Okay
As long as you're not looking for plush, and don't mind alot of night 'hip' activity outside your door, this little boutique spot is OK. Staff is friendly. Definitely not for the ones looking for plush, fancy or quiet. Consistant with the price I...

he "hippest" thing about them is that they are furnished with the cheapest things on offer at IKEA. The carpet in our room is brown, and is also of the indoor/outdoor variety. The tile in the bathroom is surface clean, but the grout has not been...
