Excellent
A great place for a getaway after a long day, or if you just want a break from the norm. The food and service in the restaurant was a nice extra and the best coffee in the morning.
I hope to stay at the Jupiter whenever I am in Portland...

Good
Very fun and Unique.Location, upbeat atmosphere, chalk board doors, really comfortable bed. Eco-friendly products. There were lot of things close to the motel to do, including a great concert (Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Thrice and Gaslight Anthem...

Okay
The uniqueness of it.Room was too minimally furnished. While my wife and I will always remember this trip with fondness and a bit of humor, we probably won't go back.

Okay
Hip and trendy.Small room. The Jupiter Hotel has a European flair and is a hip hang out for the under forty traveler. The on site bar and restaurant is popular with the locals. Try Le Pelican on the next block for a memorable culinary experience.

Mediocre
Nice parking, lounge and restaurant.Too loud at night. Live music every night, after party until 2 AM. Room that I had was above the outdoor patio off the lounge. It sounded like I was at the party. Very little sleep was had. Small room, no desk....

The hotel looked great on paper, but the room was pretty dirty and hadn't been refurbished in a while. The internet was practically useless. The bar seemed really popular so the whole place was loud and badly soundproofed.
No gym, no laundry service. The staff however were really helpful. Pointed out good local places to eat Vegetarian and were the kind of people you want to meet. It's a shame the place they work in is so past it's prime.
30 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My husband and I stayed at the Jupiter for a weekend in June. Based on what we saw on the website, it looked great--modern, young, fun. But the pictures were extremely deceiving. This is an old motel with the walls painted white and cheap furniture added. And that alone would have been fine--but the indoor-outdoor carpeting was damp (gross) and the room was musty and humid. The plumbing clearly hasn't been updated, so the shower goes from freezing to scalding without warning. The single bottle of $3 water in the room was yellowed from age. The parking for hotel guests was $8/night--and there weren't even enough spots. Oh, and they forgot to tell us that there was a dj-ed party happening until 3am Saturday night in the tent just outside of our room.
Go there for the bar and the restaurant, but unless you want an old, musty, repainted motel room for $150 a night, don't stay there.

Horrible
The outside patio.Music was loud not for older people or children. The hotel shocked the hell out of us. Loud music partying all night the location wasnt the best. The service was good but the different surroundings should be included in the Jupiter ...
