Jonathan's On the Oceanfront Motel

I have stayed at Jonathans a few times in the past. In the last six months or so it has really gone downhill. No one is manning the front desk, the rooms are not cleaned and the trash is piling up in the hallways. I don't understand what has happened. It had been so nice in the past.

Don't be scared by the title of motel. This was a nice three story motel about 100 yards from Hampton's public sandy beach and boardwalk. For the price $85 I felt this was a great deal if you like the ocean, although my particular room rate rose to $115 in the peak of the July season. The room I stayed in was very clean with cable a microwave and a large refrigerator. My advice to visitors would be to ask to see the room before paying because I was shown another room first and it was not nearly as nice for some reason. I would definitely not hesitate to visit Jonathan's again.
