great motel, excellent location away from the hustle&bustle of the boarwalk but the boardwalk was only 5 minutes down the avenue the motel was ideal for us I had a beautiful oceanveiw balcony to relax on after along day on the beautiful ocean directly across the street. If you needed to go to the bathroom or go make a snack it as faster than walking to the public restrooms that were sooo far down the beach and always a line to go. we would pop across the street and back on the beach in minutes so convienent we are couple with one child and highly reccomend it if you want a nice little motel without the bells and whistles I would stay again &again i miss it already.the people who gave it bad reviews shouldnt have it scares people away and its not right . kate from albany n.y.

Good
I thought this was a very nice motel and was clean and the view was spectacular. Its not the Trump plaza like some would expect. It was alovely little motel to enjoy the ocean and you could walk to the boardwalk and then get back to your relaxing...
We will never go back here againnn!

I have stayed at Jonathans a few times in the past. In the last six months or so it has really gone downhill. No one is manning the front desk, the rooms are not cleaned and the trash is piling up in the hallways. I don't understand what has happened. It had been so nice in the past.
Would like a solf chair in the rooms because, I am unable to sit just on the bed to watch TV. I enjoy watching news in the AM and the ocean, You can't always sit outside. We are always on the 2nd floor.

Don’t be scared by the title of motel. This was a nice three story motel about 100 yards from Hampton’s public sandy beach and boardwalk. For the price $85 I felt this was a great deal if you like the ocean, although my particular room rate rose to $115 in the peak of the July season. The room I stayed in was very clean with cable a microwave and a large refrigerator. My advice to visitors would be to ask to see the room before paying because I was shown another room first and it was not nearly as nice for some reason. I would definitely not hesitate to visit Jonathan’s again.
