Unpretentious and delightfully small, we offer each guest a quiet escape from the hectic pace of metropolitan life. Built in the early 1800s, the main building once served as a stagecoach stop and farmhouse It is completely restored, with guestrooms individually decorated with period antiques, quilts and collectibles. A common room welcomes guests with its fireplace of handmade bricks, library and afternoon refreshments. Breakfast is served around a southern walnut harvest table with lovely views of the "flats"(valley). Sixteen acres surround our bed and breakfast with woods and fields, perennial gardens and a frog pond. Sightings of moose, deer and great blue herons are not uncommon. Fall foliage is absolutely breathtaking. The outlying countryside provides may opportunities for cross country and downhill skiing, snow shoeing and hiking. Low traffic and picturesque views make bicycle riding quite enjoyable.
