Nestled in a natural setting of a barrier island off the Georgia coast, the Jekyll Island Club opened in 1888 as a hunting retreat for America's wealthiest families. Here, millionaires such as the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, J.P. Morgan and the Astors wintered in seclusion until the onset of World War II. Subsequently abandoned, it was meticulously restored in 1986, and returned to its original elegance, from the lofty towers to the encircling verandas. Now a world class resort for your next vacation, getaway, retreat or meeting. A landmark to experience

Excellent
The best fine dinning restaurant on Jekyll Island. The food is amazing, and it's a little pricey, but it is absolutely worth it. Plus, the service is awesome.

Good
My husband and I stayed at the Club Hotel for our 25th Anniversary! It was so romantic! We took a carriage ride through the village, which every couple should do. I've never seen a more beautiful place at sunset. We love Jekyll.

I went to Jekyll Island Club Hotel three years ago. It was great. I went again a week ago and it was terrible. It is dirty, run down and expensive. I would never go again. They should shut it down.

There was a screaming baby down the hall in the first room we were assigned. When we informed the desk staff and asked if we could be moved, they did not even question it and immediately offered us a new room in a different building. They even offered to move our stuff over to the new room for us. The room was beautiful. It had a balcony with a couple of rocking chairs outside. My husband and I shared a bottle of wine and talked for hours while sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs enjoying the beautiful Georgia evening.
The hotel desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Then while we stopped at the bar, the bartender went out of her way to run the dining room to get us a particular bottle of wine.
I am very likely
to return to the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
