65 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

JAYS is everything it says on their website and more. The hotel is elegant and private, and the location is absolutely perfect.

Staff members are not only efficient and helpful, they take pride in their work and actually enjoy it!

Check-in was made easy and pleasant, as we sat in the comfortable reception lounge with a welcome cup of tea.

There is a beautiful period staircase leading to the 2 floors for accommodation and the guest salon. Our suite was light and spacious, almost like a studio appartment with its built-in kitchenette, but beautifully Parisian in style. The bathroom was also surprisingly spacious, bright and shiny clean, housekeeping can't be faulted. The bed was really comfortable, and combined with the peaceful atmosphere provided a good night's sleep right in the heart of Paris.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We chatted with the reception staff over a complimentary glass of excellent champagne, and they helped us plan our visits and also booked our restaurants.

JAYS is definitely family friendly (yes, they like kids!), would be great for a long stay, and is warmly recommended for those who believe that small is beautiful.

30 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I do not recommend this hotel to anybody. It is very basic. I stayed there in July 2007 and paid 55euro for a single room. On my way back I stayed in another hotel for 44 euros and it was much better and even better location. If you find a good deal for this hotel in the range of maximum 40 euros per night - you can stay there. Otherwise do not waste your money. The room was very dark and bathroom was not up to standards. No soap in the room. I had to go to the reception and ask for one! The receptionist was very nice, but I felt too bad for my 55 euros. The location is near Metro line 4 (Chateau D'Eau).

37 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Jays is a quite a find. After hours of researching Paris hotels we took this one on a few great reviews and now we can truly say we have found our home in Paris at last.

A human size, boutique hotel with an English speaking French staff and five star attention to detail. It is elegant, charming and just a bit special. It is brand new and deserves to be discovered slowly we hope. So we can have our room back.
