Excellent
Possibly the sole reason for my family to vacation there is for the lazy river pool! The hotel boasts that it's the largest lazy river pool in the south east United States. When you start down the river and round a corner, you...

Mediocre
My wife and I stayed at the JW Marriott during Christmas, 2008. All of the reviews seemed great, but our stay wasn't exactly like we expected. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very helpful. We had 4 problems with the hotel. The first was our ...
52 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Despite living just up the road in a neighboring county, this is our getaway resort! Hubby loves the immaculate golf course with friendly attendants and the decor is just beautiful throughout. Service is usually top notch and the few times we've had a problem, it was promptly solved.

Note: My family and a friends family checked in on 5/15, checked out on 5/19.
We stayed in 2 expensive suites. Both families, total of 5 kids all got head lice. None had it before checking in, they showed up 3 days after we arrived at hotel.
Note: Hotel denies Head lice:
Today we noticed in our home bed bugs, digusting, I smashed them, they were loaded with blood. I treated entire home, I just had orkin out last week, they will be brought back out tomorrow after the holiday.
Note: First family trip in 8 months.
We live in a very clean home in Naples, Fl. kids go to private school, school checked all 245 kids, no head lice.
bed bugs showed up today, so far 2 adults have been found.
I am going to contact organge County health department tomorrow.
be careful, be warned.
hotel management denies head lice.
I emailed them this morning about bed bugs.
They emailed they will get back to me in 2 to 4 days.
We are grossed out and disgusted.
never again.
By the way second time we stayed at this hotel, first time we had no problems.
We will never go to that hotel again.
You would hope paying almost $600 a night you would get a clean room free of head lice and bed bugs.
vacation ruined, and expense to deal with both head lice and bed bugs will be more then we paid for stay.
Hotel after numerous calls offerred us 3 days off 4 days bill.
Maybe they should hire a good pest control company.
We loved the lazy river and how they refilled your drinks while you are in the pool. This hotel was beautifully decorated. Everything was top notch. We did not care for how you had to pay a rediculous amount for parking and all expenses had to be ...

I stayed here during spring break (and a NSBE conference) and it was simply beautiful. From the pool to the room, everything was 'top notch'. The bed was extremely comfortable and silky soft that I would sleep in a little later than I usually would.
PROS:
* The furniture (beds, TV, work desk, etc.) were in superb condition.
* The decor was a bit fancy with marble floor and wall tile and an all glass shower stall.
* The service was very good. The staff greeted me and girlfriend by name and always had shown great concern for our needs. Also, the hotel cleaning staff performs a room sweep twice a day so that if you desire privacy and they cannot change your towels/ linen during the day then they come back through and do it again in the evening (or whenever you are away).
* The pool area was very busy, yet large enough to accomodate the crowd. there were some secluded areas in the pool area where a small group of friends could gather and party somewhat in private (if desired).
* The shops were an added convenience if someone wanted to purchase some upscale apparrel (as in Saks Fifth Avenue), jewelry, or swimwear to go out in.
CONS:
* The pricing was decent (thanks to my friends for arranging the discount price and special meal plans). Otherwise, it would have been quite expensive. There is an 18% gratuity included in the bill for room service so if you're cheap, then hey...I'll leave it at that.
* The door to the outside hall seemed to be paper thin as far as blocking sound. While walking through the hallway, I actually could hear some couple having what appeared to be enjoyable sex...lol. I don't know if many parents are ready to have that conversation with their kids about that yet. Anyhow, some couples should play the radio to drown out the sound if they wish to engage in such acts. Again, it was funny to me, but it may matter to some.
This resort treats everyone like royalty and I recommend it to anybody seeking a nice place to visit. I want to rate it at a 9.7, but travelpost wouldn't let me vote in decimals.
This resort was absolutely fabulous. I came with my husband and my two daughters ages 9 and 16. The JW Marriott is located right next to the Ritz Carlton and we also enjoyed many luxuries of that hotel, such as the spa and the fitness club. The...
