I stayed here during spring break (and a NSBE conference) and it was simply beautiful. From the pool to the room, everything was 'top notch'. The bed was extremely comfortable and silky soft that I would sleep in a little later than I usually would.
PROS:
* The furniture (beds, TV, work desk, etc.) were in superb condition.
* The decor was a bit fancy with marble floor and wall tile and an all glass shower stall.
* The service was very good. The staff greeted me and girlfriend by name and always had shown great concern for our needs. Also, the hotel cleaning staff performs a room sweep twice a day so that if you desire privacy and they cannot change your towels/ linen during the day then they come back through and do it again in the evening (or whenever you are away).
* The pool area was very busy, yet large enough to accomodate the crowd. there were some secluded areas in the pool area where a small group of friends could gather and party somewhat in private (if desired).
* The shops were an added convenience if someone wanted to purchase some upscale apparrel (as in Saks Fifth Avenue), jewelry, or swimwear to go out in.
CONS:
* The pricing was decent (thanks to my friends for arranging the discount price and special meal plans). Otherwise, it would have been quite expensive. There is an 18% gratuity included in the bill for room service so if you're cheap, then hey...I'll leave it at that.
* The door to the outside hall seemed to be paper thin as far as blocking sound. While walking through the hallway, I actually could hear some couple having what appeared to be enjoyable sex...lol. I don't know if many parents are ready to have that conversation with their kids about that yet. Anyhow, some couples should play the radio to drown out the sound if they wish to engage in such acts. Again, it was funny to me, but it may matter to some.
This resort treats everyone like royalty and I recommend it to anybody seeking a nice place to visit. I want to rate it at a 9.7, but travelpost wouldn't let me vote in decimals.
