Located in Summerlin, Nev., the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort is pleasantly removed from the noise and crowds of the Strip 10 miles away. But guests shouldn't think they're away from the bright lights: a complimentary shuttle ferries them to and from the Strip throughout the day. In addition, the resort is four miles from breathtaking Red Rock Canyon. The 50,000-square-foot casino features 1,200 slot, video poker, keno machines, table games and sports book. But there are plenty of non-gaming recreation. Guests can play at immaculately manicured Angel Park Legacy, Badlands and the TPC Summerlin golf courses close to the hotel, relax by the hotel's two outdoor swimming pools, or get pampered at Aquae Sulis Spa with 36 treatment rooms, mud-bath spas and exercise room. Guestrooms feature contemporary furnishings, ceiling fans, arched hallways, oversized jetted tubs, brass raindrop showers and high- speed Internet. Guests can gaze out their windows and drink in the marvelous views of the mountains, gardens, cityscape or golf course. The hungry can pick from among eight food and beverage outlets, ranging from a cigar bar to contemporary fine dining. Their choices include Ceres, with its American cuisine; J.C. Wooloughan, the traditional Irish pub; and the ultra-modern Spiedini Ristorante and its Milanese and urban Italian cuisines. Guests also can enjoy 24-hour room service. Loaded with Vegas-style swank, the JW Marriott is popular with discerning travelers who seek a quieter, self-contained Las Vegas hotel and things other than gambling to occupy their time.

In my opinion this hotel is awful. The staff is poorly trained. I wished I would have read the reviews before I stayed at this hotel. The manager was incompetent. You will not get the service you are expecting. I will never ever stay at this hotel again. It is a total waist of money. 4 or 5 star? that is a joke! Housekeeping stinks. The rooms are not that great either. The workers are not trained to handle "5 star guests." The food -- Oh my goodness -- Forget it! I had to order room service and it was disgusting. The chicken fingers were hard, the taste was awful, even something simple like a wrap. The salad was bland. How can one mess up a Caesar salad. The front desk is so uncoordinated it is unbelievable.
The JW Marriot has this restaurant called "Ceres" -- all I can say is the picture of the food looks a heck of a lot better than the taste. There are so many wonderful hotels in Vegas. Why ruin your time with this the JW Marriot disaster. The money that you pay for the hotel is not worth it. I could tell you details but I am not going to go there.
