We have traveled to this hotel on several occasions with a very diverse group and had no issues. In fact, we've visited on weekends during the summer and the pool scene (which is a huge attraction for this hotel) has always had a super diverse crowd...white, black, asian, old, young, gay, straight. I think this posters comments are stupid and misleading. The hotel is awesome and it's just about the only place we'll stay in SD. The next best spot is the W and it really cannot touch the Ivy Hotel. Ignore this ignorance above as it absolutely cannot be true based on all of my visits.
