This place is great, and has the best deal in Asheville, especially if you're on a budget! The service was great, the room was clean, and I actually met the owner and he was delightful. Whenever I go to Asheville, I always stay here! So if you're just going to be in town for a few nights, you should definitely check out this place!

30 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Stayed here for one night...actually didn't even last the night. First room reeked of paint, to the point it was overwhelming. Not to mention the open paint can was still on the balcony, paint chips where all over the room & there was blood stains on the mattress. Since I was overtired and did not want to search for another place (it was past midnight), I asked for a new room. Receptionist informed me that she was not aware that the room was "not ready"...I'm smelling something bad & it isn't just the paint...Got into 2nd room, still smelt of paint, but not as bad as the first. I was so tired I just said "Fine, I'll deal with it". Within a few hours (about 3) the smell was taking over and I became ill. I landed up going back to the office & telling her I couldn't handle it. Was I able to get a refund? NOPE! Her reason..."The owner is the only one who can issue a refund, he will be here in at 4:30 if you want to stay." NO THANKS!!!! I told her I would call the owner when he got in at 4:30am. As I sit here writing this review I have a horrible headache and feel nauseous. I am staying up partially because I want to call right at 4:30 & the other part because I feel so sick right now. This motel needs to be either shut down or have an owner that gives a rat's butt about his property. Here's hoping when I call I can get my $$ back...
***UPDATE***
Got a hold of owner, got YELLED at...and was told "If I want my money back to just come down and get it"...RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL!!! His attitude fits the condition of the motel...HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

over the years this place has been a center for drug traffic and prostitution in the neighborhood and is hardly a place decent people would stay.
