Awful
member icon The room was old and tiny

We booked this hotel on the internet as it looked like a good option between flights (with van service to the airport). At 3+ stars and a good price we expected no frills but comfort.

We arrived at 10 pm to find the reception staff behind a caged area. The building our small, dreary room was in smelled and the paint was scuffed. No food was available and the only delivery service required over an hour. The mattress was old, the bathroom and TV tiny and the soda vending machine out of order. In the morning we found the resturant was not open and finally found coffe at the Mercure down the street before escaping back to the airport.

I stayed at room 504 with my daughter and it was so horrible, right next to the bathroom, the beds were and next door had the tv blaring all night till 5am...I had no sleep, I felt like they just put me there in rubbish. Tip..whatever ya do, dont stay in room 504 horrible and small and cramped.

The Intercontinental hotel in Sydney has a great location within walking distance of the Opera House. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel made me feel pampered: They checked me into my room early after my long flight from the United States.

I am very likely to return to the Intercontinental Sydney.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The Intercontinental hotel in Sydney is in an ideal location only two blocks from circular quay in the heart of the city. It was in easy walking distance from ferry piers and the Opera House.

I am very likely to return to the Intercontinental Sydney.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The Sydney Intercontinental has a fantastic location in downtown, and within 5 minutes of the Rocks. It's a great value too. We paid under $300/night even over new year's eve. The rooms are average for the price point, but it's Sydney and you shouldn't be in your room anyway! I recommend it highly.
