Intercontinental
Location. The InterContinental Yokohama The Grand is located in Yokohama, Japan, on the waterfront of the Port of Yokohama and adjacent to the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center. The Minatomirai train station is 250 meters from the hotel. Hotel Features. The hotel's nautical theme should come as no surprise considering its waterfront location and architecture. A wafer-like 24-story section of the hotel has a curved plunging roofline adjoining the lower levels that strongly suggests a ship under full sail. The lobby offers a calm environment of high ceilings, columns with potted palms set against them and a soothing off-white and dark tan color scheme. InterContinental Yokohama The Grand offers six restaurants. Cuisines served include French, Cantonese, Italian and Asian. The hotel also has a buffet restaurant and two bars. Starboard offers a variety of drinks and live jazz in the evening. The business center offers computer and mobile phone rentals and a full complement of business services and equipment. The hotel includes 12 conference and function rooms with seating capacities from 14 to 760. Recreational amenities include a fitness center, an indoor pool, a spa tub and a sauna. Guestrooms. The 24-story hotel houses 593 guestrooms. Amenities include cable and satellite TV channels, DVD players, two direct-dial phones and safes. Additional amenities include coffee and tea makers, minibars, irons and ironing boards and trouser presses. Expert Tip. Yokohama Cosmo World, 200 meters from the hotel, is a popular waterfront amusement park. The park offers 27 attractions and rides, including the 112-meter Cosmos Clock 21 ferris wheel. The structure is illuminated and changes colors every 15 minutes at night. Admission to the park is free, but individual rides and attractions charge admission fees. .

It's a nice looking hotel, a landmark in Yokohama. The lobby is impressive, and the view from some of the rooms is probably one of the best in Japan (though you'll have to pay extra to get it).
