42 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel was being renovated at the time we were there, but we weren't informed before we checked in. Because of this, there was no restaurant or lounge, which would have made our stay a lot more comfortable as it was twenty-five degrees below zero outside, and walking to get meals was uncomfortable to say the least. The staff was unable to find our confirmed reservation when we went to check in, so this process took over twenty minutes. Twenty minutes that we stood in the drafty, cold lobby without so much as an I'm sorry this is taking so long. On the other hand, the housekeeping services were outstanding and very friendly and helpful.

I am very likely to return to the Inn of Chicago Magnificent Mile.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The Inn of Chicago was in a great location. I was able to walk everywhere: Millenium Park, restaurants, bars, Art museum. It was nicely decorated and the rooms were good sized. The bathroom was small but not so that it was inconvienent. Overall it was definetly a great value for the price.

It was extremely close to Michigan Avenue. I could not have asked for a better location. I just wished that there had been a refrigerator in the room. I have come to assume that those are pretty standard nowadays, since I have stayed in lesser hotels which had them. That was the only real disappointment.

This hotel made me feel respected: The people at the front door were extremely courteous and cooperative. They made certain that we had everything in order and even tried helping out my friend who had come to visit us.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Inn of Chicago Magnificent Mile.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel was dirty. I had to wait 40 minutes in line to check in. There were three elevators, which would hold three people, the average wait time was ten minutes. No ice in the ice machines, all of the vending machines were broken. Also, they do not feel the need to honor reservations made with expedia, or any other hotel reservation site. Stay somewhere else.

I disliked the inefficient check in and the long wait. There was a poor lobby air circulation and the temperature was high during the hot weather period.

The location of the hotel was very good. We were able to walk to many of the attractions, which was good because parking is often hard to come by in downtown Chicago and the available parking can be very expensive. The hotel also had free parking. Overall, it was a good experience and a good value.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Inn of Chicago Magnificent Mile.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location was excellent, but I paid a high price for an otherwise cheap room due to a large convention held in town. They provided wireless internet access. The staff was friendly, but the bathroom was terrible, with a poor shower. The room was small but good if not spending much time in it.

I was 100% unhappy with this hotel from the minute I stepped into the outdated lobby. They had no restaurant, and no bar. There was water on the bathroom floor, and had a dripping faucet.

The only good thing I can say is that I got free internet. I'm using it to write this review. But no way this is a 3 star hotel.

I am not likely to return to the Inn of Chicago Magnificent Mile.
I would not recommend it to friends.

It was located close to restaurants, which was good, as they did not have one. They had a nice gift shop.

The location was great. The roll-a-away beds were terrible. The springs poked in your back. The rates were extremely reasonable. I would stay there again. But I would check the roll-a-away if I needed one.

The hotel was within walking distance of dining and shopping. The elevators were very small and slow. This was a problem because we were with a group and everyone needed to be in the lobby at designated times, causing a slowdown in our plans.
