The location of the Inn is wonderful - easy walking distance to River Street and attractions in the Historic District.
We had a mixed experience with the hotel over our 4 days. After having issues getting into the parking garage (and being accused by the front desk staff of trying to let extra people into the parking garage), we made it to our room. The light turned green and the door would NOT open. Throughout our stay, it took an average of three attempts to get the lock to work correctly - something is misaligned and again, the attitude from the front desk was less than helpful. To our knowledge, engineering never checked it out - though their response to the clogged toilet one morning was very rapid.
Our room was nicely appointed and clean. We were in a suite as we were traveling with our seven year old son. Resolution on "his" TV was poor, but remedied by hooking up his DVD player. It is a good thing we brought that along as over 1/3 of the advertised TV channels did not work (and 24 hours of advertising for DirecTV does not count as a channel).
Finally, the pool was not yet opened, which was a big disappointment to the above mentioned seven year old.
On the last day, our maid assured us that the towels she had run out of would be brought to us. Come morning, we were drying off with every available hand towel. Once again, the front desk was LESS than helpful.
Breakfast was typical Days Inn Fare. We tend to eat late, and it was disappointing to see them removing food BEFORE the advertised end time of 10:00 a.m.
The gentlemen staffing the concierge desk were both knowledgeable and delightful and helped us to have a great weekend in spite of the front desk staff.
