male with a moderate budget, traveling for business
Not sure how this is rated a 3 star hotel. Checked in for two nights for a business trip. The staff was friendly and helpful enough. I asked, as I always do, if any of the rooms are nicer that the others. I was told they were all the same. Went to my room. Room and all the surroundings are shabby, carpets stained and it smelled. Paid in advance so no refund to consider plus big trade show in town and rooms were scarce. Furniture, lighting, everything old and worn out. I was hoping I didn't catch anything or get bitten up from my bed.
Made it through the first night and got up to shower. Turned on the hot water and no hot water in the shower. Sink had hot water but not shower. Called down to the front desk and was told to let the water run for 20 minutes. "When the rooms aren't used it takes awhile for the water to heat up". OK, let the water run and kept checking to see if water was getting warm. Was not. After 30 minutes I called the front desk again to inform them of the water not getting hotter. They apologized and had someone bring me a key to a suite for my troubles. Moved into the suite and the hot water worked. Same shabby room but it was a suite. So had more room but still a scary place.
Place looks like it's ready to close or it should close if it isn't. Stay away!
