The Hotel Motor Inn is conveniently located downtown, just 2 blocks South of historic Taos Plaza with its galleries, shops, museums, and other points of interest. Taos is nestled at the edge of the Sangre de Christo mountains of Northern NM. Biking, hiking, white water rafting, etc. are nearby. The Indain Hills Inn, Taos Plaza is Taos best located and easiest to find Motel for the Taos Experience. Built in the traditional Southwestern Pueblo style, most rooms face over an acre of grass, tall trees, NOTE completely remodeled pool is open regardless of what other sites say, and patio an unusually peaceful respite in the downtown area. Very convenient location close to plaza. Friendly and helpful front desk people. Stayed in deluxe single king room with gas log fireplace/heater. Lobby is a warm comfortable place to visit and relax. Rates were by far the best for downtown.

Disappointing. For the money, I could have stayed at the Hampton Inn and been MUCH better off. The website sells it as a nicer place than it was. The carpet was old and loose (rolls in it), there was no clock radio, we had to pay for local calls, ...
