After reading reviews for this location, I figured I would give it a shot. It was very inexpensive and being that I was going to be here for two weeks, it was a way I could save some money. First thing, you get for what you pay for. Upon checking in, I was told that they had only one room, so I should go check it out and make sure it was going to work. As soon as I opened the door, the first thing I noticed was the worst smell in the world. I was turned off by the smell, but figured I needed a place to stay, so I can work with it. After the check in, I was told I shouldn't open the windows for my safety. Well, I did anyway. There was no way to stand the smell, so I left the window open, had candles everywhere, and I went through 2 bottles of air freshener. And still, even with everything I had to try to get rid of the odor, as soon as I walk in the door, it is still disgusting.
They only clean your room once a week, so if you have any trash, you need to take it all out yourself or it will overflow the little trash can. The kitchen has a microwave, a refrigerator, and a stove, but unless you bring your own pans, plates and utensils, you should stock up on TV dinners.
The bed is a full size bed, and it is kind of hard, but it works. But the pillows are tiny, and very uncomfortable. The bathroom, well, it works for what it is needed for. But the towels they give you are slightly larger then a hand towel, and you only get two. Maybe you should bring your own.
There is a little couch and a chair, that I wouldn't dare sit on due to all the stains on them, avoid sitting on them like the plague!
The AC unit in the room is on its last leg, that's all I can say about that thing. There is a TV with a few decent channels, but sometimes when you turn up the volume, the channel changes. And occasional when changing the channel, it turns off.
I will not walk barefoot in this place. I took my shoes off and walked on the carpet a little, then noticed that the bottom of my socks were black from the carpet being so dirty.
The location is convenient, it is just off I-15, also right near the train tracks. So don't be surprised when you hear the train all the time. If the train doesn't bother you, the slamming of doors may get to you after awhile.
Needless to say, I am not saying my full two weeks here. I have already paid for one week, they will not prorate it, so since I have already paid my week up front, I am stuck here two more nights. I have decided to pay the extra money to go someplace that doesn't make me sick every time I walk in to. I do give credit to them offering Internet access, but make sure you bring your own Cat 5 cable, or you will be running to get one.
