Hands down, the BEST hotel in Orlando. I'm a native Floridian and travel to Orlando several times each year. After several bad experiences at OTHER hotels, I've vowed to ONLY stay at the Imperial Swan from now on! The rooms are clean, the staff is incredibly helpful, and the pool is PERFECT! I'd driven past the Imperial Swan on my way to other chain hotels but stopping here was the best decision I've ever made! The Imperial Swan is a must see!

worst hotel ever, try to save money in other things, you will regret staying at this hotel, the photos that the hotel have look good, different thing when you go. NO refrigerator or microwave, they charge you if you need one. i was afraid to take a shower in the bathroom, the swimming pools look like swam where the swans are, that where the name comes from. i had to leave before the time i booked, i couldn't sleep another night. go only if you want to ruin your vacations.

I was expecting a complete dump after booking a hotel for such a cheap rate but I was pleasently surprised. The rooms are clean and comfort and the hotel has a great pool area and the staff are really friendly.

the worst hotel ever...
we reserved this hotel for 8 days online before we got to orlando, when we looked at the reviews, we thought "how bad would it be? it is 3 stars..." but when we got there, we started to realize how bad could a 3-star hotel would be..."
It took us almost TWO hours to CHECK IN. we got to the hotel around 9pm, but we didn't get the room key until 11pm. there was only one front desk staff and it took his that longto find my reservation. I was standing in the lobby for 2 hours.
the hallway was creppy as hell.
When we got to the room, we found the bed sheets were winkling and it looked like somebody had just slept on it. bathroom was awful.
we checked out right after we got to the room. the room condition was so terrible. we couldn't even stay for one night although we paid for 8 days already.
if you don't care about the STD or whatever disease, you can stay there, but i am not sure about the safety becasue i didn't stay there. you'd better watch out though.
at the end, good luck if you reserved there already, if you didn't, you are lucky

We checked in around 4pm and checked out by 8pm. Beds had bugs, main pool was locked up and had to use second smaller pool in which the water looked dark green. An the gift shop was vending machines. But the bugs in the beds, we couldn't get out of that room fast enough!!!!!!

My wife and I on our first holiday to Florida where we stayed at the Imperial Swan. From the moment we got there we had nothing but praise for the staff, especially Lori the Manageress who could not have been more helpful. The Hotel had everything you needed, was clean, all the staff, from cleaners to bar staff where polite and friendly. Would not hesitate in booking again. Thanks to all the staff, special thanks to cookie from the bar who was great for a chat as they all where. Thanks again Lori for making our Holiday we believe SPECIAL.

Ok, so the pictures tell a different story. We were given a great deal through Westgate time share, we thought they would at least send us to a nice hotel to persuade us to purchase a time share, but I was sadly mistaken. Driving into the hotel, it was dark and after driving into the lot we finally saw the Imperial Swan. The lobby was beautiful, the little store was cute...but that's it for the good comments. The workers we saw in the lobby and throughout were helpful, and tried to find a decent room. The hotel just doesn't have any.
Cons:
Everything else. The first room we were given had a smell of thick mold and the floor was damp. As we took one step into the room my sandals sunk into the carpet and my feet were wet. I immediately left and went to have the room changed. The second room was Crayola hell. Apparently they have rooms for little kids decorated in Crayola items. It would be cute if the room didn't smell like cigar smoke, had peeling paint everywhere, and if there were no bugs crawling all over the walls and in the bathroom was a lizard. I guess it didn't want to leave because with the shower faucet leaking non stop, little lizard had something to drink and complimentary bugs to eat. The third room I was given was OK. It still had a few little bugs and smelled a bit, but I figured with an air conditioner that worked and a clean fridge it was the best I could get. To bad I couldn't get a refund.
I would recommend this place to people who don't mind filth. You should remember to carry your own sheets, pillows and mattresses.

My friend and my two young sons stayed here from April 4-9th. I chose this hotel because we were on a budget and it was a last minute trip during spring vacation, the price was ideal and the location seemed right for Universal.
I am not picky and did not expect four star accommodations for a two star fee, but this place should not even be operating, as it is a health hazard. I hope that you will take all of this into consideration when contemplating booking your stay here. The location is ok, not the best. If you won't drive, I recommend staying closer to Ripleys Believe It or Not.
When we arrived, they could not find my reservation and had to wait almost an hour for them to get their act together. There was a long line of sour, unhappy looking guests who had different complaints to voice. Not a good way to start out with but I was excited to be in Orlando, so I told myself it will be ok, it's only four nights.
We were given room 341. The smell almost knocked me off my feet, mold everywhere on the walls, in fact the ceiling and the four walls were separating on top there was an inch gap between it filled with black mold. There were no windows to open and even attempt to air out the room. The bathtub spout and showerhead ran a water all the time (not dripped, ran) the toilet was leaking from behind unto the floor every time you used it. The toilet had not been cleaned, there was urine and pubes stuck to it. The sink spout came off every time you touched it. The shelf in the bathroom was falling off, I was afraid to put anything on it, so we basically lived out of our suitcase the whole time.
The boys were told not to play on the carpet, or touch it as I can only imagine what is on it. My friend developed a rash on the second night that we told ourselves was due to food allergy, but it turned out to be bedbugs. The breakfast buffet does not include any drinks except for water (they do not tell you this), it's $8 per adult (tax is separate) and 5 for kids (tax separate). For two kids and two adults with one juice or cup of milk each we paid $30. A fee of $7.50 a night will be added to your nightly stay, too. There is one complimentary shuttle leaving and one coming back from selected parks.
Universals leaves at 8:55 am and returns at 6pm (universal closes at 10 pm) If you miss it, they will call you a cab from Town & Country who will rip you off you. Expect to pay $3 over what it should be (around $5) The Swan gets a kickback from Town and Country. Call Ace instead.
There is no children's park. Nothing, not even a sandbox. The "children's pool" is a foot deep and it is the size of a blowup kiddie pool you can buy at Toys r Us. The one pool that is used by some adults is sometimes heated, sometimes not. And, last bust not least: the two "queen size" beds are really two squeaky full beds, the difference between a suite and a room is a small fridge that you will never use or may or may not operate and the main picture of this hotel featured isn't real.
I must have come across (or walked by) a dozen guests who were arguing with the personnel about what they have found upon arrival, who wanted to check out immediately and who were told that they would be charged the length of their entire planned stay end would have to take it up with them later.
The only good thing was that towels were replaced daily and the room was tidied. But the sheets were not, because the same pink smudge was to be found on mine five days in a row. We were allowed to use the pool while waiting for our room. I paid $30 for late checkout so that I can wash the clothes we will be wearing back home so we don't smell like dampy mold on the plane.
I guess it's a good deal for someone who lives under these conditions to begin with, or is accustomed to accommodations that rent a room by the hour. For all others, especially with children don't do it. You will not allow them to take showers when you see what you have for the length of your stay. It will sour your experience in Orlando. After long days at the parks you will feel like you have a brown box on the sidewalk to go to. I hope this helps, because I read all the reviews and still decided to go for it. The whole time there that is all I could think about: I should have listened. I would have changed to another hotel but there was nothing else available under $200 a night on such short call.
I am convinced after this experience that anyone writing a good or decent review on this dump is on the inside. In fact I called the Dept. Of Health, this place should not be operating and if it is at the very least should be truthful about what they are offering. Don't trust the pictures!
