The price and location were the only good parts of this hotel. The hotel was very outdated, the clientele was very lower-class, and there were few amenities. This property likely has not been updated since it was built. Conveniently located on the...

The room was clean. The parking facility is incredibly inconvenient to get to and from. Room was clean, but getting to it was a joke. There weren't enough employees at the check-in desk; I waited in line for half an hour just to check in. Also, the...

Good
While it occasionally took time to get ahold of the front desk once we did their response time was very good. It's nice to be one of the monorail stops, that helped.
We spent 3 nights in the Imperial Palace Casino, and renamed it the Piss Palace on account of the smell in and out of the casino. The first room was clean but when we turned on the A/C it smelled of urine. The next week we got another room there which smelled like a men's room and we asked to be moved to another room. The third room was cleaner but also smelled when we turned the A/C on. We discovered that many people had relieved themselves on the balcony outside the rooms which accounted the stench. My husband commented that they may have been trying to piss into the pool below (as the one side we stayed on, which was obviously the older part of the building was closest to the pool, needless to say we elected not to swim there). We also noticed the odor when we walked in and out of the IP to the strip. Apparently people were using the walkways as a bathroom. The A/C was the worst on the strip inside the casino as was the food. Cheap to be sure, but in America, you get what you pay for.

Good
The pool area surprised me, it was nice and convenient. The elevators were terribly slow, I waited 20 minutes to get on and was packed in like a sardine. I thought the location was great - very close to the nicest casinos on the strip.

Rooms were new and modern did not expect that from a hotel that has been around for awhile. Very impressed. The maze we had to go through to get to our room was confusing. Wish it was more convenient to the parking garage. Staff was very friendly....
