We just stayed at the Ilima and were very happy with the friendly staff and the room. Great spirit of aloha, fantastic view and clean and spacious room. Unfortunately we had to move to another hotel for a few additional days, it was a real let-down

Quiet location, but handy to everything.
We had a Studio on 9th floor. Very large room, with lots of space to store empty suitcases and enough clothes hangers in the the wardrobe. Kitchen with a full sized frig and microwave etc. Effective...

The Ilima hotel is on the Ala Wai side (the quiet side) of Waikiki, and a 5-minute walk (2 blocks) to the beach. It is a 99-unit property featuring condominium-sized studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Most features of a good hotel...
My wife and I looked for weeks trying to decide on a hotel. There were so many bad reviews! But we kept coming back to the Ilima. It was rated a 2 star but all the reviews were 5 star. We now know why. We stayed at the Ilima for 5 nights in May...
