The earliest visitors to the Idyllwild Inn arrived by horse and buggy. Located in the heart of the village that has grown up around it, the mountain's first inn has maintained the historic feel of its cabins and theme rooms, some of which date back as far as 1910. All have great fireplaces, some with mantels hand-carved by the sculptor of Idyllwild's famous tree monument. From a single room to a 3-bedroom cabin, you'll find a comfortable, secluded hideaway here at the original Idyllwild Inn.

We were not expecting anything fancy, but clean would have been nice! There was mold in the shower, which had a shower head that was about 4'11" tall. There were no electrical outlets in the bathroom, they had very cheap towels. All for the bargain price of $121! Next time we'll go somewhere else for sure.
