I was totally disapppointed in the booking and reception part. Our accommodations were prebooked and confirmed and fully paid. Upon arrival there was no room available in the catagory that we prebook and prepaid. Not satisfied with the reason behind that every room was totally booked. Then why was it not specified when prebooked and prepaid. Coffee machine had too short of cord so had to plug in on the floor. Pretty tacky having to drink coffee out a paper cup. Poolside was overcrowded and noisy. Bar at poolside, service was slow. Lobby situated on second floor which means you have to lug your suitcases up the escalator to reception. Well for the price I will not return. One of the lesser hotels we stayed later, had free internet, free daily paper and complimentary continetal breakfast for half the price.
I am not likely
to return to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Hyatt Waikiki not what it used to be. Although it is ideally located across the street from Waikiki beach, you might find better hotels for the money. We had a pleasant deluxe oceanview room but they only provided paper cups for the in-room coffee. Even 2 star hotels provides proper coffee mugs! The hotel lacks enough cocktail lounges. There was only the pool side bar available. Hosekeeping staff and service was exceptional. Checking in can be chaotic especially when rooms are not available. Good luck in getting a room that you requested and paid for. We requested a room with 2 doulbe beds but were only offered a room with a king sze bed and a sleeping cot. After making a big fuss we got a better room the next day. You might want to check the competition first before booking the Hyatt.
