I liked the hotel, it was a pleasant stay. I would stay there again, or at another Hyatt hotel because of my experience in Savannah.

I enjoyed every thing about my stay. Even the maids and other service personnel in the halls were very friendly.

This hotel made me feel content: Anything that I requested was handled promptly.

This is an older hotel and not quite what you would expect of a Hyatt, but it is in a good location at one end of River Walk along the Savannah River.

We had a huge corner room with enormous windows on two walls. Our view of the river was incredible and we would watch the huge cargo ships slowly glide in and out of port. The bed and pillows were wonderful; they’re up to Hyatt standards. The bathroom was small and older. We prefer the River Street Inn when we're in Savannah, but the Hyatt is probably the next best thing for the location. As far as room rates, though, the Hyatt is more expensive.

The lobby and restaurants were upbeat and in good taste. The desk staff was very nice and helpful, however, the staff who cleaned the rooms obviously had no supervision. The first day, it was after 4 pm before they cleaned the room. They forgot to leave coffee cups, and fresh hand towels, and it took two phone calls in a space of three hours to get them to the room. The bathroom was sad. It had no vent fan, the tiles on the floor were cracked and dirty. The tub was old and cramped. The paint was chipped and peeling off the door and cabinet, not to mention dirty. They seemed to have updated everything else, but forgot the bathrooms. The bed was lumpy and I had a backache both mornings. I was glad it was only for two days.

This hotel was a good example of the quality and comfort I have come to expect from the Hyatt brand of hotels.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I felt welcome by the friendly staff who was able to help us find good local entertainment.
