I loved this hotel, it's always been one of my favorite places to visit in San Francisco, but I have never stayed here. So when I had a chance to stay here, I did.
The room was impeccably clean, the staff was very professional, from the front desk clerks to the cleaning staff, and I always received service with a smile. We were not able to eat in the Equinox that night, the restaurant was closed for renovations that weekend, but we were within walking distance to "Boulevard" at One Mission Street, which the concierge recommended to us. It was fantastic. The hotel is in one of the more romantic spots in SF, on the Embarcadero, near the Bay Bridge, and of course, at my favorite fountain in the whole world in the Justin Herman Plaza.
Oh...and if you're a Mel Brooks fan, you'll recognize this gorgeous hotel from his movie "High Anxiety". You can also go for drinks at the Equinox even if you're not staying at the hotel, it revolves giving you an 360 degree view of the city while enjoying fine spirits, it's worth a visit!
