52 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I paid a deposit and reserved a room for 2 for a one night stay while attending a wedding. When we arrived, we found out that they gave our room to someone else. To remedy the situation, they gave us a luxury room. The room was beautiful, but when I returned after the wedding, the entire floor was filled with a large, rowdy group of partying drug dealers/users. They were blasting rap music and slamming doors every 15 seconds.
We could not sleep, were very frightened, and called security. They took 2 hours to arrive and could care less about helping. I asked them give us another room so we could sleep. They took about 3 hours to straighten out the situation. We were sent to a very dingy hotel room. We didn't sleep a wink. It was a horrible experience and they didn't offer a refund. I will never stay here again. It was unsafe and there was no customer service.
