Oct 11, 2006 to Summer of 2007 This hotel will be undergoing renovations. The Hyatt Regency Islandia is located in the heart of Mission Bay Park with seascaped views of the harbor and Pacific Ocean. Six miles from the heart of downtown San Diego as well as from the airport. Closest hotel to Sea World' and convenient to all other attractions.

We payed a very high rate for the room and there was no value whatsoever. The room smelled of cleaning fluid and the furniture was stained. The location was good. Slats were missing from the blinds. We had prepaid or would have gone elsewhere. Would not recommend.

The rooms were disappointing. They smelled of cleaning fluid and/or bug spray. The blinds were missing a slat. The room was a bit noisy. I think you can do better at another hotel.

pools and room were great. No one told us to insert our key card into elevator to get to 17th floor, regency club could have been explained better. My itenerary said check out was 12 when it was actually 11. Place IS amazing we loved it, but check in at 4 and leave at 11 for the price was a let down.
Stayed in the rooms not in the tower. Room was small, AC ineffective, room service forgot half the order, had to ask twice for maid service. Kids partied outside by the pool until early morning, and yes you could hear them very well. Not staying again.
The only thing keeping this from horrible is the front desk staff.
