Excellent
The location and grounds were beautiful. There was no coffee pot in the room. A first for a Hyatt Hotel in our experience. Unfortunately the weather was cool so we were unable to use the pools. We felt the food was overpriced and there were no close...

Okay
Great location.Dirty room and uncaring staff. Moved a club chair over the wet spot only to reveal that the area under the chair is never vacuumed. Plastic ties, crumbs, etc. Also, cheetoes under the desk.

Horrible
We stayed here because it was supposed to be newly renovated. First, Room was very dirty, refrigerator dirty and did not work. No coffeemaker in room as advertised. Terrible parking, expensive, and if you don't snag a nearby spot, you must park...
43 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at the end of May and found the location fairly convenient and beautiful. We had an ocean view room in the towers.
The Hyatt is finishing a 12 million dollar renovation and it has some excellent features. The pool slides were really nice and the atmosphere is very elegant.
We especially liked the Hyatt water taxi ride to Sea World for just a few dollars round trip for adults. The walk to Sea World is much longer than advertised (took me about 25 minutes). The Hyatt also had good Sea World ticket prices.
It is a pretty long walk over the bridge to Mission Bay- but we liked the hike and found good bike rental prices. It is beautiful riding a bike along the boardwalk and bay!
Now the ouch! The Hyatt is following the trend of a lot of the upper price hotels in gouging you for every nickel they can get.
The rooms have no coffee service- you will be shelling out 2.50 a cup at Einstein's Bagels (no free refills)- the only coffee found anywhere on the property.
The rooms have no microwave and a very small micro fridge.
And, you will also be paying $18.00 a day for parking.
We decided to forego a car and use the Metro transit, which is a good way to get around San Diego- you can get a day pass for just $5.00 a person. We went by bus and trolley all over- La Holla, Coronado, Old Town- it was all very easy.
If we go back to San Diego- we probably will not stay again at the Hyatt unless they at least get some coffee or a killer rate.
It is very beautiful on the outside
