24 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We live in Round Rock and decided to get-away for our anniversary/birthday weekend. I went online (hyatt lost pines website) and booked our reservations in advance to ensure we got the room I wanted. They charged the account $1200 right then and that was fine. On checkout day we received the final bill for $1700 which was correct except they didn't deduct the $1200 that we'd already paid when I booked online. We get home and check the bank acct. so we can call and have them adjust the bill. When looking at our acct. we see that there are multiple charges one for the $1200, one for $1700 and then two more equaling another $1700!! It took us a week and about 15 calls to get this mess straightened out and have all the charges reversed where we only pay the $1700 and not $4600!

Be wary of having your credit/debit card on file! We will not be returning anytime soon which is a shame because the place is beautiful and the food is great, but way too expensive!

Forgot to mention we had a spider in our bed upon arrival and if you're allergic to down bedding beware!

I went here last week and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good! I don't eat out very often but I would definitely consider going back to Stories. You have to try the lamb!

My wife and I live in Austin and had been hearing great things about this restaurant for some time.

We have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and feel that Stories ranks among the best. It was my husbands birthday and the chef really made us feel pampered. The food was much better than most of the restaurants in Austin that receive so much hype. We have eaten at Uchi and the Driskill and felt they didn't live up to the hype, but this place is on another level!
