The hotel is located very near Lake Tahoe, but does not have a direct view of the lake. It does have a gorgeous view of the tree covered mountains.
I booked the hotel through Priceline.com and thought that I had pre-paid for the hotel. It turns out that the hotel charges a "Resort Fee" and a tax on the resort fee that adds up to $20.16 per night. Priceline never mentioned this fee, nor did the hotel front desk mention it when I checked in. I saw it for the first time on the checkout bill. This kind of underhanded way of slipping in additional charges put a damper on an otherwise excellent hotel stay.
