The hotel is within walking distance to shopping areas, close to a major freeways, and in close proximity to any tourist attractions in San Diego. There are superb restaurants around the hotel.
This hotel made me feel pampered: The room settings, amenities in the room and the hotel, friendly and helpful employees, and overall customer service were great.

The Manchester was over the top in terms of decoration. We did not enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed other Hyatts, which is our preferred hotel chain. The service was rushed, the room was comparatively small and seemed more like a Holiday Inn in terms.

Everything was fine except there was hardly any place to sit down in the lobby. As I had to frequently use the lobby to wait for colleagues, it was quite uncomfortable to always have to stand.

I have commented above. I would add that the entry way into the Hyatt is very impressive, and the staff makes the place easy to use. There was always someone there to get a cab for you or help you in any way. I tried to photograph the beautiful inverted.
This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was such a relaxing, friendly place. There were friendly waiters and good food--crab dip was out of this world! The 24th floor room had an outstanding view. The location of the hotel was great.
