female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
It started the day I arrived; I had reserved a suit when I was notified that the Red Hat Group was having a convention at Hyatt Regency. We had to sign up a year in advance for our convention, just in case I made my hotel reservations quickly to reserve a suit.
One week before I was to arrive I called the hotel spoke to guest services to confirm that I had a suit, with refrigerator ($25 extra charge even if you need for medical reason) plus two queen beds. Upon arrival on August 7th at check-in I was informed that my room had not been reserved but they would find me the correct suit. Then we went to have lunch at the Trellises Restaurant where service is extremely slow. I request to add chicken to a salad that does not come with meat, the charge my waiter said was minimal; I don’t call $8.00 to add check in to a salad a minimal fee. When I get home I find that the restaurant added another $1.00 to my meal. I was told standard practice if you pay with credit card. No where on menu or hotel web site did it state there would be an extra charge for using a credit card. BEWARE!!! The next day no room service, no toilet paper, no clean towels or wash cloths, then Hyatt deactivated our room keys. I was registered at the hotel for the Red Hat Society event. When I called front desk to discuss issues I could not believe how condescending the staff and managers were acting.
I found some of the staff in the ballroom who provided service for our Red Hat event was cold, unskilled as to where to place drinks, if you asked for something that was not on table you get a look of disgust for asking.
I plan on posting this review on as many site as possible to worn any other group our size from ever using the Hyatt hotels again.
Okay, let me start off by saying when my Fiance and I checked in we were actually impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality here at the Hyatt. We ended up changing our minds at about 2:30am. My Fiance and I went out to have dinner and drinks,...

The staff member for checkin was very friendly and set the stage for what I hoped to be a good experience. However, the sofa and the carpet in the executive room were stained and when I removed the cushions to setup up the kids bed, there was a...
We spent over $200 a night for this hotel because of it's location on the river, and was hoping for a up-scale hotel. Although the hotel itself was clean as hotels should be, the price was a bit much. It was by no means nothing spectacular. The rive
I booked a honeymoon suite with the amoure package. I was very disappointed. They did nothing special to the room. The advertisement on their website was very deceiving. I could've done a lot better for a suite that was priced at almost $350....
This hotel has exceptional rooms and spectacular views. I was on the St. Johns River and watched the dolphins play in the river almost every day. The food was decent, but not something I can rave about. There was not enought of a selection for me....

33 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Were forced to book at this hotel because my sister won a scholarship for Breast Cancer for Young Women Conference. We were told that the rooms were blocked for the conf. and would get a special rate. However, the "special" rate was only on Thursday and we were forced to pay the full price for the remaining 2 nights. Why? We were never given an answer. The room was ok but there were stains on the fancy pillows on the beds, the countertop in the bathroom had a large damaged spot and there wasn't enough creamer and sugar for the coffee maker. A beer was $7 minimum and the food for the conference was downright horrible. Imagine, they offered raw oysters to chemo patients! For the next conference, we will stay elsewhere since this hotel was not worth the $180 a night. I will say one good thing though...the location was stunning and easy to get to shopping and dining.
