Excellent
We stayed at the Hyatt the weekend before Christmas for the Midwest Clinic and it was a wonderful hotel. Located on the River next to the Magnificent Mile it's easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and cultural events. Would definitely stay here...
30 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I stayed at the hotel for 3 days for a convention. All of us were appalled: we were served hot dogs at the opening reception for which we had paid $20 a head. I was declined a glass of water because I had already used my drinks coupon. The rooms are not as clean as they should be and the bedside lighting is highly unpleasant. Otherwise the hotel is rather well run and efficient, and the staff fairly pleasant. But the quality of the food and cleanliness made me wonder what was grand about this place.

Mediocre
Our group of 6 friends stayed in three rooms on varying floors. The rooms are modern & clean. The views from east-facing views in the west tower were of the river & lake; very nice. Others faced office buildings. Elevator areas were far too...
48 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
As a business-person and frequent traveler I have to say that my stay for New Years Eve at the Chicago Hyatt was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel world wide.
From the over-priced room with a view (dirty windows looking at the river?) to the smoke-smell to the messed up dinner reservations .the list goes on. We gladly paid the full all access, up-graded room cost, trusting Hyatt for a great New Years and my wife and I were sadly disappointed to the point of checking out at 7am New Years Day to drive back home.

Mediocre

Although our reservation was made well in advance, our quiet 1 king bed or 2 double bed smoking room was not available at check in. Instead we were placed in a small, noisy (over the bar) no smoking room with 1 double bed. We were told this room was...

The location of the Chicago Hyatt is perfect, right between the magnificent mile shops and the Millenium Park/Art Institute areas. My daughter and I shared a 15th floor room with great view of the river and out to Navy Pier in town to shop, visit...

Okay
I stayed here on a friends getaway. The hotel was advertised as being on the Magnificent Mile. It's close, but not immediately on the avenue. There's a charge of $13 per day for wireless internet access. The mini bar is rigged so that you can't put...
