Okay
For the reputation the Hyatt Regency has, I was unimpressed with this four-star hotel. Starting at $159, this hotel boasts more hype then I think it lives up to.First off, you walk into the lobby--but wait, it's not really the lobby. You still have...

Good
This Hyatt had nice clean rooms with great views. It had a huge bar where everyone went at night, but drinks where very pricey. The staff was nice, but the concierge didn't really know what she was talking about when I asked her about train stops....
42 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We have stayed at the Hyatt Hotel on Wacker St. in Chicago many times over the last 10 years. It's gone "hip" lately, though, opening a night club with extremely loud music right on the ground floor reception area. It doesn't disturb us, but I think I liked the good old days when you could bring a friend in for a casual drink in peace and quiet. Lately we've noticed, too, that the elevators are very slow. Otherwise a great location near Michigan Avenue and a comfortable place to stay. Watch the minibar, however, $4 for a can of soda!

Mediocre
My family and I decided to take a little one-day, one night jaunt to Chicago.
I went on Priceline and ended up paying $100/night/room. For a "luxury" four-star hotel, the suggested price in the Magnificent Mile area was listed as...
