Hotel Review by a traveler from Longview, IL - Posted Sep 25, 05
46 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The room was very elegant and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location -- it was very easy to get to places of interest. The front desk staff was very helpful.

This hotel made me feel elegant: The furnishings and layout of the room were elegant. The complimentary bottles of water were an awesome touch. The lobby was lovely and very elegant.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

The bathroom had mold in it. The blankets were not comfortable, they were rough. The elevator was always very busy.

I am not likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Marysville, MO - Posted Aug 28, 05
22 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The location was wonderful and the view of the river from our room was incredible. My advice would be to use Priceline. We got this amazing room with an amazing view at a very swanky hotel for only $88!

This hotel made me feel important: The doormen, valet service, and baggage check showed that my satisfaction and ease of my trip were their highest concern.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

30 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The only issue with the room was a dirty needle in the nightstand. As soon as we called down to the front desk, it was taken care of within 10 minutes. I was surprised that some compensation wasn't offered as there was a dirty drug/insulin needle/biohazard in our expensive room. Otherwise, the room was amazing and the location on Wacker was very central to our needs. (House of Blues and Museum Row.)

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

32 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The location was excellent -- very convenient to shopping, parks and restaurants. The hotel was not child-friendly. I had problems getting the hotel staff to lock the mini-bar and many staff members did not know how to get this done for me.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

27 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I arrived in Chicago in the worst snowstorm they've had in a while. Therefore, it was very convenient to find food and other necessities in the hotel complex. The individual who checked me in was very helpful. Also, the room was very clean and pleasant. I was almost disappointed when my flight could actually leave the next day, and I couldn't stay another night!

This hotel made me feel content: The room was so clean, I couldn't even find anything to complain about! Also, as I was put up here for business, I was feeling very pampered to have my own room and be able to watch whatever I wanted on TV without negotiating with family members!

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

All services were great. The location enabled us to walk to different restaurants and shopping. It had an amazing lounge. We had a wonderful time at this hotel.

This hotel made me feel entertained: We attended Whiskey Fest, which was held at the Hyatt. When the event was over we went to the lounge and danced. It was a very well-designed area and we had a lot of fun.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

49 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The only problem I encountered was that I thought that the beverages and snacks in the room were included in the room charge and found out at checkout that they were not included and the prices charged for a simple bag of chips were outrageous. Other than this, the stay was enjoyable.

This hotel made me feel respected: The way in which I was greeted from the moment I arrived until I left was respectful.

Hotel Review by a traveler from AZ - Posted Jul 30, 05
60 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The air conditioning was very loud and clunked when it went off. There was no dresser in which to unpack and store clothing for an extended stay. The bathroom did not have a fan. The location was great for business purposes. I thought the room was overpriced at $224 plus tax for what I got. I would consider it a business hotel.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

I thought that it was nice and big, there were lots of conferences while I was there. It was a little overwhelming with all of the people, luggage, etc. There didn't seem to be enough desk/luggage employees to handle check in or check out.

I liked the Hyatt. It was clean and nice-looking but our room was well overpriced and room service was way too expensive.

This hotel made me feel excited: I had heard that this was a high-class hotel and I had never been there before.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Keller, MI - Posted Jul 23, 05
85 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stay at the Hyatt Regency during conventions. I enjoy the facilities for large groups, which many hotels cannot offer. The large meeting rooms and ballrooms are essential for our group. I enjoy people-watching in the lobby when I have time, which isn't often. I do not enjoy long lines at check-in, check-out, especially when other groups checking in are boisterous, but that is part of the large-hotel-serving-large-groups scene. I am impressed that my group seldom is disrupted by other large groups, which are sharing the hotel at the same times.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

The hotel is in an excellent location. I liked the very comfortable bed and especially the new mattress, the wonderful view from the window, excellent food service, the excellent hotel size and amenities, including shopping in the underground or adjacent mall.

I thought the location was great. It was right downtown and the view from the rooms was very nice. I was only on the fourth floor and still had a nice view of Chicago and the river. Service was good. I really liked the express checkout through the TV.
