Hotel Review by a traveler from West Falls, NY - Posted Apr 16, 06
38 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

It was a fine stay. The meeting facilities were good. The location was great. The food served at conference lunches and dinner was not good this time around. It was very disappointing. And, I had the same meal all four times.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

The Hyatt Regency in Chicago was conveniently located near Michigan Ave and many rooms have a view of the river. My room was very comfortable and well furnished.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The Hyatt Regency was well furnished and this made you feel very comfortable. I really liked the feather comforter, which made me feel at home.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

We stayed at Hyatt during Valentines Day. It was a very good stay.

No problems except I requested non smoking, but at night I could not sleep because my room still smelled like someone was smoking in there. Check in was pretty quick considering that it was a pretty busy weekend. I requested a bassinet and they delivered it quickly.

The price was little high, but then if you stay in downtown of Chicago you kind of expect to pay that price. Overall it was a great stay.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

36 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My brother was kind enough to book us a suite at this prestigious, riverfront hotel in downtown Chicago on my wedding day. We somehow got upgraded to the 'Presidential Suite' and could not have been more delighted and amazed. Of course, due to the events of the day and the unexpected suite I may be a little biased. The suite and rooms were fantastic, very luxurious but very tastefully decorated, the view over the lit-up river at night was breath-taking, the double-jacuzzi tub in the main bathroom was fun! And yes, there was more than one bathroom in this suite! With regard to staff, they were courteous, helpful and extremely polite; no less than what you'd expect from a Hyatt of this calibre. Room service was delivered quickly and the food was fine.

But all in all, this was an experience I'll never forget. If you want to splurge and treat yourself, the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago is the way to go, so much to do and see (and eat) all close by to this hotel's prime location!

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel was very nice and it was right in the middle of downtown chicago. Only bad thing was a little pricey. But this was my and my wife, our honeymoon. So we got the honeymoon package. For over $400 for one night. which is a lot. Also we were supposed to have champagne and fruits in the room by the time we check in. But there were nothing there. So I had to call the consierge, and front desk to get the syuff up as soon as possible. And about twenty minutes later it finally arrived. So that was that. The room was very nice. We had three TVs and a king size bed. Also we had access to the VIP room where there was a self serve bar and desserts. The room was very clean. The hotel restaurant is very nice and upscale.

I am not likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

Wow, what a hotel. I was welcomed with warm smiles and checking in was easy and pleasant. The rooms were extremely clean and large, very good to know because after a long day of traveling I wanted relaxation.

It had internet connection so my husband was able to stay up to date with work matters while I took a dip in their amazing indoor pool. It was like my vacation itself. It was definitely the highlight anyways! Their shops had plenty of nice gifts so I was able to bring back a souvenir for all my family and friends. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasurable experience and a worry free stay. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

This hotel has a very good ambiance, a very attractive lobby and attached areas. There is a busy lobby area but once away from that bustle it is a fairly relaxing spot considering it is big and in a big city. The rooms are comfortable with expected amenities from a first class hotel. They are reliable even if quite over priced for their product and services.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Orchard Lake, MI - Posted Feb 27, 06
20 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The location was nice, right downtown. It was very comfortable. It was nice but nothing better than any regular Hilton hotel and for the room the price was way too much, and so were the bar drinks and the hotel restaurant food.

This hotel made me feel entertained: It had a nightclub theme in the hotel lobby at night which was a lot of fun.

I am not likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

The hotel's location was great, but the room was disappointingly mediocre. I expected extra for the money. However, the bed was extremely comfortable. The valet service was too expensive and the staff should let customers know how much it costs.

It is within walking distance to Michigan Avenue. It is well maintained and has a very good staff. They offer a good restaurant and a good fitness facility. There is a convenient grocery store and other services on the premises.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They have an excellent desk staff, very efficient and friendly, given the fact that a huge number of people were checking in at the same time.

I liked this hotel's great location and attentive staff. I would recommend it to others. It is not hip or quirky, but it works.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The rooms were nicely accommodated and did not smell bad. That is enough to make me feel as comfortable as I am going to be in a hotel on the road.
