Hotel Review by a traveler from Lubbock, TX - Posted Sep 11, 04
52 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The room was beautiful--very modern. However, I didn't like paying for the Internet--a very cheap approach in an expensive hotel. The room was more than expected. There was a significant plumbing leak in the bathroom that will take major work to repair.

This hotel made me feel secure: I appreciated the atmosphere, the security of the room door lock, the number of people around all the time; and the general attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff indicated a general interest in their surroundings.

I am very likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

I once thought Hyatt Regency's were classy, but this one at least was just a typical commercial hotel.

I am not likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Seattle, WA - Posted Aug 19, 04
25 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for business

The Hyatt Regency was not my first choice. There are far more hip and sophisticated hotels and some of the Hyatt properties I've stayed at in other locales are somewhat dumpy. This one, however, had been updated enough not to seem tacky.

This hotel made me feel excited: I had a room with a fabulous lake and city view that other members of my business party did not have. I felt like I should keep the view a secret because I knew they didn't have the same scene out their window.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

40 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I didn't get very much sleep at all. The people in the next room were partying and this was even after we called the front desk twice. The second time I called, the girl said, "You can tell the manager tomorrow. What good does that do tonight?"

I am not likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Hagerstown, MD - Posted Apr 30, 04
41 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The food prices were outrageously high! The breakfast buffet alone was $19.95 per person! I was fortunate to find another place to eat within walking distance where I got the same meal for only $6.95. I was very angry with this.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel Review by a traveler from ND - Posted Mar 21, 04
19 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The check-in service was definitely not what I expected. I was at the hotel for the Deca Central Region Leadership conference with thousands of other high school students. Checking in was so slow that there were groups of students camped all over the lobby area.

This hotel made me feel sophisticated: The hotel was larger and vastly more expensive than any other I had ever stayed at and so it was an exciting experience. Everyone around me was very important and businesslike and it made me feel upscale as well.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.
