Boston Common, the Freedom Trail and the financial district are located two blocks away. Hotel Features. This property is built around four terraced atria, while the third-floor lobby features marble floors accented with area rugs and greenery. Avenue One restaurant serves contemporary American cuisine within an informal setting. Menu highlights include Alaskan Red King Salmon. The Lobby Lounge prepares martinis and serves wines, beers and spirits. Live bands occasionally perform in the lounge. The business center houses five computer stations and is staffed during business hours. The hotel certainly lives up to Hyatt's reputation in terms of amenities and service. Business center, fitness center and pool open 24/7, wireless internet (for $9.95 a day from T-Mobile HotSpot) and on-premises restaurants and bar. The central location is great for the nearby cinemas and Broadway theaters, shopping at Downtown Crossing, dining and sightseeing, but the neighborhood can be kind of sketchy. Boston Common attracts a lot of vagrants, particularly in warm weather. That shouldn't dissuade the average business traveller or tourist, but it's something to be aware of.
