Hyatt Regency Bethesda Metro Center Hotel

I booked my trip through an online travel website and was incited by a decent price. I stayed 2 nights.

1. Parking lot is a rip-off. The parking lot charges $10/day I payed $15/day because I told them I am a hotel guest (thought it will be free - at least that is what I was told).

2. In the room they had 2 bottles of water (1 Liter) $5/piece. No refrigerator, the internet was at 9.99/day when even the chepeast motel on the civilized side of this planet offers it for free (This after I have spent 35 min on the phone with technical support that could not log me in.) Breakfast?... is a laugh they have improvised at the hotel bar, a breakfast area that lacks tables and chairs and had 4-5 muffins, milk, coffee, tea, plain bagels and about it (of course the old jam and old butter). My advice... if you want 2 stars and below you can find a better price hotel closer to downtown Washington. If you are looking for a 4 star hotel you will not make any deal with this Hyatt. The rooms are old and outdated and most certainly it does not deserve a real 4 star rating. Good Luck

The hotel was clean. The employees were helpful and personable. The stay was pleasant. I would stay there again.

This hotel made me feel entertained: They provided cable television. The bar had a pleasant atmosphere and it made it easy to meet and talk to people. The restaurant was elegant.

The room air conditioning unit was not working upon arrival but the engineering staff arrived within minutes to fix the problem.

The rooms were fine, well appointed with clean linens and everything one would expect. The layout of the hotel directed all the noise from the lobby up to the rooms so it was loud in the rooms when the lobby was crowded or if the groups were noisy in the bar. The staff was friendly and the bell staff was very good.

I was disappointed that the could not accept the reservation made by somebody else since I did not have a credit card and they had no way to accept my information. They were also not helpful with letting me wait where I wanted to wait nor were they very efficient with getting me to my room.
