Hyatt Place Medford

Booked four rooms and stayed with a large group of friends. The front desk was very accommodating and gave us rooms on the same floor. Plush beds and spacious living area. We even played Twister with 2 mats with ample space to move around! My friends loved the free parking. Very, very minor complaints: wished the bathroom sink was actually inside the bathroom, and the pool area didn't have towels on hand. But, then again, we did stay over in December...

Needed a reasonably priced hotel near Harvard. There was 5 of us. The room had a pull out sofa and 2 double beds. Very spacious. Night and day staff was friendly and courteous. Continental breakfast was included, and no charge for parking. Took us 5 minute to drive to Cambridge. Very closed to the highway also. Closed to Tufts and Boston U also.

Definitely would come back to watch my nephew graduate from Harvard.

I was initially very impressed by the rooms at this hotel, but the service was so bad that it ruined my experience. The front desk staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The shuttle van drivers were unbelievably unprofessional.

If you can afford a few extra dollars, it would probably be worth it to stay in Boston proper. Medford is a more or less uninteresting place to be, and although the hotel does offer a free shuttle to/from the nearest subway stop, expect to wait 30 to 60 minutes for the lackadaisical shuttle driver to show up.

If you feel the prices in Boston are a bit too high this is a great place to stay. I was here in August 2007 and found this place after seeing how much it was going to cost to stay in Boston. First of all, the place is technically brand new since the Hyatt took over. The hotel was clean and the room was clean. The staff was attentive and courteous. There was a free continental breakfast. Free Internet and wireless throughout the hotel. A nice pool and they offered free shuttle service to the Wellington station on the T Orange Line to Boston. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

While the rooms may be nice, the area is awful!!

Stayed at the hotel coming to Boston to try to save

$. Planned on staying 3 nights, checked out after 1

sleepless night. Hotel couldn't be closer to the highway.

A/C sounded like a plane landing and there was a party

going on above us while we tried to sleep. Hotel staff was

unfriendly, clueless, and seemed not to care.

Walked to "the square" which is nothing but a run down

area with a few pizza parlors.
