The location is great! However, the hotel staff was not friendly or knowledgeable. The shuttle driver who picked us up on Friday evening was much nicer and helpful. Bottom line, don't ask them any questions and you will enjoy your stay.

Horrible
The rooms were nice.No restaurant and location.“This hotel could be nice when they are complete. There is nothing right now in the area. It is in a business area not a vacation area...
The only positive things we could say about this hotel were that the bed was comfy and the view from the top floor very pretty. Our room did not have enough electrical outlets. The lighting was downright poor. We had to request towels because we...

Like the January 12, 2008 reviewer, I found this to be a disappointing work-in-progress. (Aside: this has been a common characteristics of my recent Hyatt Place stays.) Many rough edges here. Like breakfast: they haven't figured out that coffee cups need lids, and that turning the refrigeration unit up too high results in frozen, inedible melon. I'm a 100+ day per year Hyatt guy, so I hate to be negative, but I'm trimming this stay from 28 nights to three. Perhaps I'll give thenm another shot in six months.

Apparently, the love of chic interior design has clouded Hyatt Place's common sense. Beautiful furniture, but not a bottle of water to be had anywhere, at 11 pm on a Saturday night. No vending machines. The 24/7 "Gallery Kitchen" and all the other things they talk about in the website and even in the in-room brochures is a something they PLAN to do ("in a couple of weeks" I am told, ) but does not currently exist. At $250 a night, they could do much better. I was told to get a beverage, I would have to walk down to a gas station, on this unfamiliar busy Ft. Lauderdale street-- is it even a safe neighborhood to do so?? I don't know. So, if I do want to enjoy a cold coke on the beautiful leather furniture in the lobby of the hotel they say was designed for "me", I have to walk down to a gas station???? This is absolutely unacceptable. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? If I were the hotel manager of a place touting itself as super-chic and super-client friendly, I would bring by own soft drinks and have them at the desk.
Yes, the furniture is beautiful. The High Def in the room is great. But put your clients' very basic needs just a little higher on the list of priorities, please.

The work out facility equipment was not working properly and was outdated. The remote was not working and the door handle kept falling off of the bathroom door. Also the bed was very uncomfortable.
They spoke friendly and were attentive to our needs.
I am not likely
to return to the Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale Arptn.
I would not recommend it to friends.

This is a low service hotel with no room service, food, etc. Due to an injury I was a bit disabled, and the staff went above and beyond to help me with food deliveries and baggage when I was checking out. They are super people!
They provided a late entry and check in for a very unexpected flight arrival without any charge.
I am very likely
to return to the Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale Arptn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They are sometimes very disorganized at check-in or check-out. The rooms need a redo as there are lots of stained furniture and carpets. It sometimes smells musty.
